Hennessy Paradis is a blend of over one hundred very old “eaux-de-vie” from Cognac’s finest growing regions. They matured amongst the most remarkable collection of rare “eaux-de-vie” om the world.
Hennessy Paradis was created in 1979 by Maurice Fillioux. He chose to blend “eaux-e-vie” which had been selected by his grandfather. Today, Yann Fillioux, the 7th generation from his family to be Master Blender at Hennessy, stores aside “eaux-de-vie” which might be used by his successors. This continutiy over generations ensures the unrivalled greatness of our cognacs; and especially of Paradis.
An exceptional cognac like Hennessy Paradis should be enjoyed neat in a crystal tulip glass.
Limited stocks available as world demands exceeds production.
The oldest Cognacs are usually kept away from the other cellars, in a dark cellar known as “the Paradise”.
Once they have reached maturity, the Master Blender decides to end their ageing process and places them first into very old casks and then into large glass containers called “demijohns” or “dame jeanne”, where they may rest for many decades with no air contact.

In 2009 Hennessy launched a limited edition in honor of the 44th president, also known as Barrack Hussein Obama. This was a very clever marketing coup from Hennessy.
The bottle featured a black label with gold lettering. Also, the circle seal towards the base of the neck featured a large 44, the phrase “In Honor of the 44th President” and the date of President Obama’s inauguration. A percentage of the proceeds made from the sales of the limited edition bottles will go towards the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.
With Christmas we enjoyed a deluxe 6 months matured Christmas pudding from the Lidl. Very tasteful with a splash cream and brandy…
This Pudding was laced with Sherry, Brandy, rum and Cognac! Nice! 😉
